Bell Mobility

Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE), originally established in 1880, is Canada's largest communications company. BCE’s main subsidiary, Bell Canada, provides connectivity to residential and business customers through wired and wireless voice and data communications, local and long-distance phone services, high-speed and wireless Internet access, Internet protocol-broadband services, e-business solutions, and satellite television services. Bell Mobility, a division of Bell Canada, provides cellular, paging, personal communications services, satellite, data, and airline-passenger communications to more than five million customers.

Bell Mobility currently offers assisted GPS (AGPS) and cell site-location technology in virtually all new cell phones and wireless handhelds. This technology is available through a suite of business tracking services, which have already been deployed by a variety of companies to track their field-workers and mobile assets. Bell Mobility, similar to its U.S. counterpart Sprint, supports ArcWeb Services through its AGPS technology, providing real-time and virtually ubiquitous geopositioning of cell phones and other wireless devices across Bell Mobility’s national 1X network.
