MapData Sciences
MapData Sciences (MDS), established in 1997, builds digital map data
for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Using public source
data, field research, and client feedback, MDS offers street data and
political and physical geographies. MDS employs a highly trained group
of mapping and GIS specialists who operate from offices in Sydney, Australia,
and Wellington, New Zealand.
MDS provides ArcWeb Services users with updates to its street and basemap
data on a biannual basis. This data can be used for geocoding, mapping,
and routing purposes for Australia. In addition to several Australian
street data layers, MDS also provides data layers of airports, beaches,
bridges, urban areas, parks, waterways, railway lines and stations, rivers,
lakes, sports venues, and state and regional boundaries. This service
provides everything you need to create detailed maps of any part of Australia.
